SPECIAL EVENT HIGHLIGHTS
Sea Tow Palm Beach has played an integral part in organizing the Palm Beach Holiday Boat Parade – for over a decade – on behalf of the Marine Industries Association of Palm Beach County. The months of planning and detail that go into this event, which now draws over 100,000 spectators, is no small feat…or should we say fleet? The entourage of beautifully decorated vessels crosses over seven municipalities and winds its way down 15 miles of coastline beneath a backdrop of fireworks. The event itself kicks off the holiday season in the Palm Beaches and benefits the U.S. Marines Toys for Tots program that provides toys for needy children in our area. The Sea Tow boats and volunteers make dockside donation pickups on the night of the parade. We are extremely proud of the Holiday Boat Parade and to have the opportunity to play a role in making the holidays brighter for some of our littlest residents.
Sea Tow has a booth on the waterfront at the Palm Beach International Boat Show every year. There are giveaways and also the opportunity to purchase and renew Sea Tow memberships, along with an incentive. There is also a new 501 C3 Boating Safety Foundation that was started by Sea Tow International. A second booth was set up in recognition of the Foundation, where patrons took a brief test when they came by. If they passed the boater safety test, they received a gift.
